Well Known Farmer of North Porter County Succumbs Early Sunday
Richard Raymond Hindenburg, age 66 years, a well known farmer of north Porter County, died suddenly Sunday morning at 4:30 o’clock, at his home just east of Cooks Corners. Death resulted from an embolism.
Three years ago he was stricken with the same illness but after six months recovered and was able to continue his farming on a small scale.
He was born in Bloomington, Ill. on March 21, 1875, and on November 21, 1898 was united in marriage to Birdie Louise Weinhart.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Birdie L. Hindenburg; three children, Ralph W. Hindenburg and Mrs. Wayne Babcock, both of this city, and Lee J. Hindenburg of Alpena, Mich.; four grandchildren, Thelma and Ava Jean Hindenburg and Richard and Janis Babcock; also two brothers and two sisters of Bloomington, Ill. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at the Bartholomew chapel at 10:30am Wednesday, Rev. R. B Kern of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Kimball cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday until time of services.

R. HINDENBERG SERVICE HELD EARLY TODAY
Memorial services for Richard Hindenberg, well known farmer of the Cook's Corners neighborhood, were held this morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Bartholomew funeral chapel on Washington street, conducted by Rev. Russell B. Kern of the Methodist church. there was a large attendance of relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Walter Bartz, George Lee, W. H. Dettman, F. R. Danielson, Edward Keene Sr. and Ross Brown. Burial was in Kimball cemetery, northwest of the city.
