Mrs. Trostle was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg, where she taught Sunday school and was president of the Altar Guild for 35 years. She was co-owner of the Helen Kay Dress Shop in Gettysburg for several years. She and her late husband owned and operated Trostle's Garment Company in Gettysburg for 35 years. She was a life member of the Gettysburg Hospital Auxiliary and life member and former board member of the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village Auxiliary.
She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Trostle, who died in 1988.
