Graveside services for Mary Jane Arrington, 76, were held Nov. 25 at the Duncan Cemetery. She died Nov. 20, 1994, at Mount Graham Community Hospital.

LDS Bishop Robert Lunt officiated, with music by a ladies ensemble. The opening song was "Amazing Grace" Ross Arrington gave the invocation and Erwin Crotts offered the life story. Bishop Lunt gave the sermon and Kenneth Claridge the benediction. The closing hymn was 'In the Garden."

Arrington was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Douglas. She grew up and received her education in Duncan. She married Glenn Adair in 1935 and they made their home in Pinetop. She was widowed in 1939. During World War II, she moved to Phoenix and worked for Goodyear, making airplane parts. She returned to Duncan and later married Ross Arlington. She owned and helped operate family restaurants and later became a custodian at the Duncan Schools. After her 1977 retirement, she became involved in many community activities such as parades, rodeos and the Greenlee County Fair. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross, in 1980.

Surviving are three sons, Glenn Adair of New Mexico, Thomas Fulcher of Phoenix and Ross Arrington of Morenci; a brother, Joe Sanders of Duncan; and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Home.
