Rev. Landis E. Tice, Jr., 82, of Myerstown, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born September 23, 1925 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Landis E. Sr., and Emma (Doutrich) Tice.
For 40 years he was a farmer and a United Christian pastor. He was a member of Manada United Christian Church, Grantville and a board member of the United Christian Church Home, Annville for 25 years.
He was the widower of Mary S. (Smith) Tice who died August 4, 2004; was also preceded in death by a son Landis E. Tice, III on November 24, 2001 and siblings Irwin Tice, Edwin Tice, Kathryn Rice, Helen Deaven, Erma Brandt, Lester Tice, and Harold Tice.
Surviving are his sons William, husband of Deb Tice, Robert, husband of Donna Tice and James, husband of Darlene Tice all of Myerstown; daughter-in-law Thelma Sidebotham of Florida; sisters Beulah Kennie of San Diego, California and Margaret Miller of Marysville; brothers Roy Tice of Palmyra and Herbert Tice of Middleburg; grandchildren Shelley, Clinton, Tammy, Angela, Dustra, Adam, Michelle, Melinda and Lisa and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Fontana Union Chapel, 22 Fontana Avenue, Lebanon. Viewings will be held 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday and 9:00 - 10:00 AM Tuesday both at the church. Burial will be in Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery.
