DELL VIRGINIA DUNN HELMS, 88, of Memphis, passed away September 18, 2008, in Clarksville, TN. Mrs. Helms, the widow of George L. Helms, was a retired Memphis City Schools teacher. She was a member of White Station Church of Christ, the National Teacher's Association, the Audubon Society and the Smithsonian Society. She is survived by her sister, Lois Rene Gallivan of Clarksville, TN and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 22, at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
