Luke's father moved the family to Salisbury, CT where Luke married Rachel Landon and they had 12 children.

Luke was listed as being in Capt. Steven's Company in Col. Ebenezer Marsh's Regiment for the relief of Ft. Wm. Henry during the French and Indian War. (Abt. Aug 1757).
