He was born in Manchester on Sept. 8, 1917, to Lucien and Rosalia (Neveu) Poulin and had resided in Manchester all of his life.
He was educated in local schools and later worked at the Fort Devens Motor Pool during WWII. He owned and operated Manchester Engine Rebuilders for 35 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, traveling, and tinkering with electronics.
Family includes his wife of 44 years, Rita I. (Cabana) Poulin of Manchester; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Sandra) Bradshaw of Merrimack and Mrs. Paul (Gale) Dandurand of Manchester; a son, Gary L. Poulin of Auburn; four step-daughters, Barbara Gagnon of Hooksett, Pauline Cote of Florida, Cecile Beliveau of Manchester, and Karen Bienvenue of Allenstown; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by his first wife, Stella (Rozmus) Poulin in 1959; a son, Andrew D. Poulin in 1991; a sister, Irene Perretti in 2006; a brother, Leo Poulin in 1985 and two step-sons, Albert Gaudette and Richard Gaudette in 2008.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St.
A Mass of Christian burial is Monday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Urn burial will be in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford.
