He was a son of Joseph and Margaret Burns. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Robeson Burns, two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Tate, Duncansville, and Mrs. Wesley Bretz, Burns Crossing; one son, Donald, at home; one brother, Robert, of Burns Crossing; four sisters, Mrs. Proctor T. Miller, Altoona; Mrs. Jennie Stiffler, Cross Keys; Mrs. Archie Carnahan, Burns Crossing and Mrs. Elizabeth Zeigler, Williamsport and four grandchildren.
He was a member of the Lutheran church and the I.O.O.F. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m. today. Interment will be made in Carson Valley cemetery.
