She was married to Adam Bockey at St. Nicolas in Frenchtown, Seneca County, Ohio on the 28th day of Jan 1862. The record states that the teste (attendants) were Augustine Jacobe and Matthew Backee (Bockey)

In the 1900 census, Mary Jane Bockey states that she is the mother of 9 children 7 of whom were still living.

OBITUARY - Delphos Daily Herald Oct 26, 1900 "Marion Township lady Succumbed to Disease"

Mrs. Adam Bockey died at 11:30 o'clock this morning at the family home four miles south of Delphos the culmination of a lingering illness. She was bedfast for 19 days. Her age was 62. Mrs. Bockey was a well-known lady in generally beloved and respected by those who knew her. Besides her husband, seven children are left they are: Mrs. Lizzie Dell of Hicksville, O., Miss Lena Bockey of Lima, Mrs. Henry Trentman of Delphos Charles, Barbara, Mathias, and Lucy Bockey, who are at home. The cause of Mrs. Bockey's Death is ascribed to a complication of diseases arising from an infection of the liver. She was a patient sufferer and died a true Christian. The funeral will be held from St. Johns Church Monday morning. Burial in the East Side Cemetery. (she was buried at St. John's and her gravestone says she was aged 59 years)
