Sam Charles Singley

Age 84, died on September 20, 2008, at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA.

Sam was born and educated in the Meadows section of Philadelphia, and has resided in Boothwyn for the last 30 years. Mr. Singley retired from Westing-house Inc. after 45 years and belonged to Local Union #107. Sam played and coached Tinicum AC football and baseball for many years. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran who served in the 6th Division during WWII. Mr. Singley was a longtime parishioner of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Boothwyn.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Rodgers Singley; 3 sons, Charles Singley of Cochranville, PA, Joseph Singley of Wilmington, DE, and Daniel Singley of Lincoln University, PA; 1 daughter, Diane McCullough of Bear, DE; and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral mass, Thursday, September 25, at 10 am, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Rd Aston, PA. Visitation, Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm and Thursday from 8-9:15 am at NOLAN-FIDALE FUNERAL HOME, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
