Mike was a birthday present from my father. This little black bundle of energy & joy, was the delight of my young life.

We soon learned Mike had Canine Distemper. The vet said he had little chance of life, but Mike surprised all and stayed with us for 12 years.

Mike would sleep at the side of my bed all of our life together. He never had a bad thought and brought joy to all around him.

I overheard my mother remark Suisun City was going to the dogs and she had no one to vote for in the city council race. I suggested she vote for the best dog I knew .. Mike. I wonder if anyone else knew that the 1 vote for Michael Chaney, was for my dog!

Mike went blind in one eye, and did not see well out of the other, so I put a large playpen up on our front porch for him. Each day he would ask to be in his playpen, so he could hear & smell the people & pets as they strolled by. Mike knew the backyard by heart.

To this day, I cannot touch his sweater without tears.

Mike I will always miss you, and look forward to the day we reunite in God's Kingdom.
