Wilma Erma Waybright, 93, Aurora, W.Va., died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Heartland of Preston County, Kingwood, W.Va.

Born June 21, 1911, in Aurora, she was a daughter of the late John Milton Bittinger and Cora (Fike) Bittinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noah Washington Waybright; one daughter, Janet DeWitt; and one sister, Prema Lipscomb Cline.

Mrs. Waybright graduated from Aurora High School, Bridgewater College, and West Virginia University. She also took correspondence courses from Shepherd College and Columbia Institute, Chicago, Ill. She was a member of the Brookside Church of the Brethren, and was a minister in the Church of the Brethren for 61 years.

She is survived by four sons and their wives, Glenn Waybright, Leesburg, Fla., Wendell Waybright, Plainville, Mass., Stanley Waybright, Mount Storm, W.Va., and Delbert Waybright, Aurora; one son-in-law, Orville DeWitt, Oakland; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland.

A service was conducted at the Brookside Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, July 22, with the Rev. Sam Moon officiating.

Interment was in the Maple Spring Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Brookside Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 12, Aurora, WV 26705.
