s/o Herman E. and Laura (Stearns) Netsch
He was a graduate of Manchester High School West class of 1951. He enlisted in the Air Force and served in Korea. After his honorable discharge he returned to Manchester and to his father's Blacksmith Shop, H.E. Netsch and Sons, where he worked until his retirement in 1998. At that time the shop was the oldest operating business in Manchester, established in 1812. He enjoyed the art of being a Blacksmith and especially displaying and teaching the craft to school groups that would tour the shop. As a Disabled American Veteran he enjoyed traveling and visiting many war memorials. He loved animals, especially his dog, Peanut; he enjoyed gardening and watching sports. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the VFW. He was a very active grandfather who attended all his grandchildren's activities. He enjoyed socializing and was known by many as the "Mayor of Bass Island."
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Nathan Netsch, and a sister Lois Gumbris.
His family includes: his wife of 52 years, Priscilla (Gosselin) Netsch; two children: Mark Netsch and his wife Sue of Charlton, MA, Lisa Netsch-Haynes and her husband Tom of Bedford, NH; four grandchildren: Matthew Netsch and Karissa Netsch both of Charlton, MA, Chelsea Haynes and Kevin Haynes both of Bedford, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
