NICHOLS
Charlotte Ellen (Schwarberg) was born in Tulsa,
OK on October 5, 1916. Her parents were
James W. and Maude M. (Thomas) Schwarberg. The
family moved to OKC in 1932 and she graduated
from Central High School in 1933.
She received her Bachelor's Degree from OCU,
her Masters Degree from UCO, her school
administrator's certificate from OU. She
completed research for her Doctoral Degree
at OSU. She was a teacher/administrator
in the OKC school district; she became
Director of Media for the Board of
Education and later, she was the
administrator for Lakeside Academy.
She and William Frederick Nichols were
married June 14, 1936. To this marriage
was born a daughter, Barbara Ellen
Pirrong, and a son, Frederick Leigh
Nichols. She loved her family and church.
She was a member of OKC First Church of
The Nazarene for many years and then Quail
Springs Baptist Church. She was a
multi-talented artistic person with a
special gift of music and a love for flower
arranging and anything pink.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-six
years, Frederick; her daughter and son; four
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren;
also her sister, Lillian Dawson of
Albuquerque, NM; a sister in law, Juanita
Schwarberg of OKC and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
and two brothers, James William and
Thomas M. Schwarberg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to the Oklahoma Medical Research
Foundation or to the charity of your
choice. Visitation will be held Wednesday,
December 11, 2002 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at
Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m.,
Thurs., December 12, 2002 at the
Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with
interment to follow in Resurrection
Memorial Cemetery.
