Attorney Robert H. Basso, 74, of Syracuse, New York, and Naples, Florida, died Friday, September 19, 2008, in Naples. Mr. Basso was born in Brooklyn, New York, on January 17, 1934, a son of Albert J. and Esther R. (Balletto) Basso. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Freda R. (Pellegrino) Basso. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews Street, Massena, New York. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 105 Cornell Avenue, Massena, New York. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
