Martha Maxine Wiggs Gove, 63, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on January 20, 1990 at her home after a long and vilient battle with Cancer. She resided at 1294 North Oakley Street (1241 West) in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of her death.

Born in Salt Lake City on October 31, 1926 to George Ralph Wiggs and Harriet M. Bates Wiggs. Married Charles E. Gove on July 15, 1953; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Maxine lived most of her life in the Salt Lake area, and was a devoted member of the LDS Church, where she served her Lord willingly and faithfully in various callings; served in the Sunday School, Relief Society, and Mutual organizations. She was a very loving, giving person who loved her family dearly. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She worked for Litton Industries for the past 27 years as a technician and Lead lady retiring in December 1989.

Survived by her husband, Charles; two sons and two daughters, David Earl and wife, Jolyn Gove, Bountiful; Paul and wife Gina Gove, Salt Lake; Patricia and husband Tony Reece, Payson; Susan and husband Rocky Catenzaro, Salt Lake; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, George Ralph and wife, Linda Wiggs, Jr.; two sisters, Dora Sturzenegger; Doris Snoddy, all Salt Lake City; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Betty Briggs.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 1990 at 12 noon at the Rose Park 7th Ward Chapel, 1155 North Boy Scout Drive (1200 West) Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South and one hour prior to services at the Church.
Interment: Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street, Sandy.
