Obituary:
Alma Virginia Mitchell Magnusson, age 92, passed away on Frbruary 20, 2011 at Ardmore on Main where she had been a resident since February 26, 2010. She was the daughter of John and Minnie Mitchell, one of ten children.

Alma was a life long member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and at the time of her death the oldest member of Piney Grove. She lived in the Piney Grove community all of her life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Magnusson was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard (Bowser) Magnusson, two sons, Bobby Lynn and Fred Wayne.

Survivors include three sons, James Derrell Magnusson of Huntsville, David C. Magnusson of Ardmore, and Stanley R. Magnusson of Columbiana, AL, three grandsons, five granddaughters and 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Stonecypher and Bro. Lynn Marshall officiating with burial to follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
