BELMONT - Peter M. "Shotgun" Kontos, 49, of Champagne Avenue, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at home along with his two dogs, Jazmen and Diesel.
Peter was born Nov. 2, 1958, in Boston, the son of Michael and Josephine (Prato) Kontos.
Peter was a resident of Arlington, Mass., before moving to Belmont 11 years ago.
Peter was a talented artist who specialized in custom artwork on cars and motorcycles. He was very supportive of our troops. He was an avid motorcyclist and an avid collector of specialty firearms and knives.
Peter was one charming "son of a gun" and will be greatly missed by all who have crossed his path.
He was the devoted husband of Holly (Nelson) Kontos of Belmont; the proud father of two sons, Peter Michael Kontos Jr. of Billerica, Mass., and Jacob Scott of Concord; the loving son of Josephine Kontos of Arlington, Mass.; a caring brother and brother-in-law to Kathy and Lou Lashon, of Northwood; and a favorite uncle to Taryn and Curtis. He is also survived by his Aunty Betty, Thea Klara, many cousins and his former wife, Trish Scott of Concord.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael Kontos.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
