Funeral service for JOHNNY WAYNE SOUTH, 59, of Lawton, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Harley Davidson, minister of Western Hills Church of Christ, officiating.
He died on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, in Lawton.
Burial will be at Letitia Cemetery.
He was born on Nov. 12, 1948, in Lawton, to Jesse and Florence Wimple South. He grew up in Lawton before moving to Pauls Valley, where he lived until he was 35. He then returned to Lawton where he remained until his death.
He is survived by his mother, Florence Waller; a sister, Patricia South Smalley of Elgin; a half-sister, Virginia Fisk of Lowell, Mass.; two half-brothers, Dennis Waller of Arkansas, and Arthur South of Lawton; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse South, and a half-brother, Hix Lee Waller, Jr.
