PENNSY TRUCKER KILLED AT LOCAL FREIGHT STATION

John W. Blough, aged 18, of Cross Keys, a bridegroom of two months and a trucker for the Pennsylvania railroad, was killed instantly at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Altoona freight station.

Blough was pulling a truck from a car to the platform between nos. 2 and 4 tracks and in some manner, yet undetermined, he asn his truck went over the side of the platform and landed on No. 4 track direcltly in front of a draft of cars being shifted on the track for service. He was crushed under the wheels. Deputy Coroner Dr. C. E. Shope is conducting an investigation.

John Wineman Blough, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Orville Blough, of Cross Keys, was born Feb. 17, 1924, at Holsopple, Somerset county. He was educated in the Cross Keys school and entered the Pennsylvania Railroad company's service about three months ago. He was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. On Nov. 12, 1942, he was married to Miss Phyllis G. Griffith of Elkton, Md. She survives with his parents, a sister, Miss Betty Blough, at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Kaufman of Duncansville and John H. Blough of Holsopple, Pa.
