"The Demise of Mrs. A. E. Connell. Well Known Woman Came Suddenly. A deep shadow settled over the community Jan. 20, it was learned that death had entered the home of Albert E. Connell, calling therefrom, the beloved wife and mother. Since the holiday season Mrs. Connell had not been enjoying the best of health. She had consulted a specialist in Milwaukee and had taken treatment for her eyes, but a sudden change came last week Thursday morning when she suffered a stroke that proved fatal.
Catherine Elisabeth was a daughter of Frank and Ursula Connell pioneer settlers in the town of Lisbon, where she was born on the old homestead August 19th, 18162. IN the month of October, 1896, she was united in marriage to A. E. Connell, shortly after they moved to Menomonee Falls, mainstring their home her ever since.
Her life was marked by her quiet, but pleasing personality, she was a loyal wife, a devoted mother and showed untiring concern for her family and in the community her every act was to conform with the best conceptions we have of womanhood.
She is survived by her husband, and one son, Walter, two sisters, and three brothers. Her death came all to early, having an aching void in the hearts nea and hear to her. The last rites were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1:3 o'clock, Rev. W. Ross Conner officiating. Interment was had in the family lot at Henson's Cemetery.'It is not death to die, To cease this weary load and mids the brotherhood on high - To be at home with God. Jesus Thou Prince of life- Thy chosen cannot die - Lie Three, they conquer in the strife - To reign with thee on high'"
