Sergeant First Class Herbert Raymond Grant, of San Rafael California, who served with the 198th Light Infantry Brigade, 5th Battalion, 46th Infantry, Headquarters Company. Herbert was fatally wounded on February 23, 1969 in the Quang Ngai province of South Vietnam. He was 35 years old.
A recipient of the Purple Heart Medal, Sergeant First Class Grant is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 31W, Line 01. Herbert lies in rest at Florence National Cemetery in South Carolina.
