Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 19, for Mrs. Mary H. McNerney, 81, of 519 Summit Ave., St. Paul Park, who died on Saturday [16Jun1956] at Mounds Park hospital in St. Paul. Services were held at 9 a.m. from the Church of St. Thomas with interment in St. Patricks cemetery in Inver Grove Township. Mrs. McNerney had been hospitalized since May 30th, when she fell and broke a hip but death was caused by a stroke. Born in St. Paul Park, she had lived here all her life and for many years had assisted her husband in the fuel and ice business. In addition to Mr. McNerney she is survived by six sons, Major Charles D. of Roseville, Col. Joseph A. of Ankara, Turkey, George W. of St. Paul and James R., John F., and Major Thomas L. all of St. Paul Park; also eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
