Charles Coltabaugh was born in Germany and was a son of Jacob Coltabaugh, and accompanied the latter to America and to Blair County. Charles Coltabaugh was only a boy at that time but he grew to manhood and died on the farm now owned by his son, William B. Coltabaugh, in the rich Carson Valley.
