Mrs. Calista O. Dunshee, wife of the late Prof. Norman Norman Dunshee, of Drake University, Iowa, died suddenly Friday evening of last week at her home in Pardee where she has been living since her husband's death to be near her daughter, wife of Senator Andrews. Mrs. Dunshee was a scholarly woman—a teacher in her younger days with President Garfield in Hiram, Ohio. She was a devout Christian, ready for all good work. She was nearly seventy-three years old at her death. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held in Pardee, was conducted by Z. S. Hastings and assisted by Revs. Maris and Haskell, after which she was taken by her children to Des Moines, Iowa, for interment by the side of her husband.
