William H. Strobridge, 75, of North Avenue died Sunday, Feb.14,1988, at the Fanny Allen Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb 26,1912,in St Johnsbury, the son of John H. and Bernice (Conant) Strobridge.
He was a graduate of Peacham Academy, and also studied music in Boston University under the direction of a Boston University professor. On Sept 3, 1939, he married Ethuwyn Bean.

For many years,he was employed by Ralph Thayer Construction. He also worked for Vermont hardware, Shepard Heating and Plumbing supply and most recently, Koffee Kup Bakery.

Mr. Strobridge was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, where his wonderful baritone voice was enjoyed by many fellow parishioners.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Ethuwyn Strobridge of Burlington; seven Children, Lynda L.S. Perry of Colchester, Gail Roy and her husband, David,of Westford, John Strobridge and his wife, Gloria of Lebanon,N.J., Marsha Wood and her husband Charles of Colchester, Richard "Dick" Strobridge and his wife Linda of Milton, Karen Stockwell and her husband, Harland of Richmond, and Robin Strobridge of Burlington; eight grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Card and her husband John, of West Barnet; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by a son William H. Strobridge, October 28, 1973 at the age of 21.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.at the Corbin and Palmer Funeral Chapel,71 South Union Street, Burlington.

Interment will be in the family lot in West Barnet Cemetery
