Howard Eugene Law

Howard E. Law, age 83, of Alcoa, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Mr. Law was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of 3rd Street Baptist Church and an avid and skilled carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alene Law; sons, Ray Law and Billy Law; daughter, Patsy Law; parents, Robert and Bessie Law; and brother Bennie Law. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Karen Law; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Danny Harris; grandchildren, Travis Law, Chris Law, Shelly and David Anderson, and Daniel and Tiffany Harris; great-grandchildren, Molly, Maggie, and KayLee Anderson, and Lauren Havener; and brother, Bobby Dale Law of Stevens, Virginia. A special thank you to the staff of Colonial Hills Nursing Center and Blount Memorial Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 309, Alcoa, TN 37701 or 3rd Street Baptist Church, Maryville, TN. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. David Anderson officiating. The interment service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
