MANCHESTER -- Marie E. (Turner) Collins, 81, died Sept. 24, 2008, at her home on Front Street.

Born in South Hiram, Maine, April 3, 1927, she was the daughter of Clarence and Eleanor (Smith) Turner. Although she lived several years in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Mrs. Collins spent most of her life in Maine.

Prior to her retirement, she had spent many years working in the electronics field, including time with RCL in Manchester.

She was an avid Red Sox and NASCAR fan and enjoyed bowling. In addition, she loved to crochet so much so that, according to her family, she could have crocheted herself around the world and back.

Family members include four children, Victor Collins of Lowell, Mass., Jeanne Perry and Heidi Lang, both of Goffstown, and Cheryl Swecker of Escondido, Cailf.; nine grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Pullen of Saco, Maine. She was predeceased by her husband, Rolland Collins, in 1982.

IN HER LIFE: She also leaves her best friend, Richard Pelletier of Lee, Maine; a brother-in-law, Raymond Collins of Woburn, Mass.; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

SERVICES: Graveside service is Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Allenstown. To sign an online guestbook, please visit petitfuneralhome.com.
