My Great-Uncle Shannon was the son of David Harclerode and Mary Wyles Harclerode. He married Estella Showalter on October 25, 1893 in Everett, Pa. They had the following children:

(1) Chalmers W. Harcleroad (1894-1942)
(2) Mary Harclerode Camino Tassa (1897-?)
(3) David Banner Harclerode (1899-1947)
(4) Harry Harclerode Sr. (1904-1943)
(5) Paul Richard Harclerode (1901-1940)

Shannon worked for Thropp Furnace in Everett, Pa until 1904. He moved his family to Mount Union, Pa in 1904. Shannon became employed at Harbison-Walker Refractories Company in Mount Union. He later helped to build the North American Plant and was employed there when he died in 1941. Shannon was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Everett. His death was due to a heart ailment.
