Andrew Statton "Buster" Wolfe, 76, of Ripley traded this world for a heavenly home on Sept. 22, 2008, at his home after a long illness.
He was born April 1, 1932, and was a son of the late Carl and Leota Wolfe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Casto; a brother, Carl Wolfe; and a granddaughter, Sarah Wolfe.

He was a former foreman for the Department of Highways.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rosie Wolfe. He was the proud father of five children: Linda Smith of Ripley, Charlotte Freeman of Columbus, Ohio, Pastor Statton Wolfe of Huntington, Evangelist Mike Wolfe of Charleston and Lisa Fields of Ripley. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with his daughter-in-law, Helen Wolfe of Huntington, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Kenna.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Family and friends are invited to join together in a time of fellowship at the Open Bible Church, Ripley, following the committal service.
