Born in Lynn on Oct. 28, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Concetta (Maraziti) Greco. She grew up in Lynn and moved to Peabody in 1966. From 1978 to 1985 she lived in Florida and has lived in Peabody since.
Lena was a cook for over 20 years at Lynn Classical High School and retired in 1977.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Lynn and was a member of the Sodality. She was a former communicant of St. Mary's Italian Church, Salem. She enjoyed cooking, beano, knitting and crocheting.
She leaves a daughter, Virginia F. Rennick and her husband James of Peabody; two sons, Robert V. Vitale and his wife Janice of Georgia and Thomas D. Vitale and his wife Nancy of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Scott and Stephen Grieves, Christina Jackson, Jodi Cabralt, David, Mark and Kevin Vitale, and Richard Ready; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Connie Moulton.
She was the sister of the late Matthew Greco, Tillie Scroi, Theresa Willis, Gloria LaFalce, Jeannette and Jennie Greco, Ida Cianci, Loretta Crelease and Ruth Regal.
ARRANGEMENTS: The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church Lynn at 9 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn.
