Russell A. Hansen

MANITOWOC - Russell A. Hansen, 64, of 1138 S. 23rd Street, Manitowoc, died early Wednesday morning, Feb. 13, 2008, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born March 10, 1943, in Manitowoc, son of the late Donald and Alice (Brachman) Hansen. Russell was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, class of 1961. In 1964 he married the former Beverly Ebelt at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

Russell was a machinist at Mirro Aluminum Company, retiring in 2002. He was a past president and member of the Machinist Union No. 516 and a former Boy Scout leader.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Bonny Hansen of Green Bay and Todd and Maria Hansen of Manitowoc; a daughter, Debbie Sieracki and her fiancé, Les Alexander, of Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Cody Sieracki, Timothy and Matthew Hansen; the mother of his children, Beverly Hansen of Manitowoc; a very special friend, Irene Kralovetz of Manitowoc; two brothers, Robert Hansen and Gary Hansen, both of Manitowoc; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Randy Neuser of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center in Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Paul Schossow. Russell will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, following cremation.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Dennis Zagrodnik for his compassionate care and support given to Russell and his family. They would also like to extend a thank you to the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room doctors and the Cancer Care Center.
