WHIDDEN, Ressie Mae, 90, a life-long resident of Hardee, County, died Friday, July 16, 2004 in Avon Park, Fla. She was a secretary for the Collier County Sheriffs Office in Immokalee, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula. She is survived by three sons, Layne Whidden and wife Margie of Stanford, Ky., Lance "Bubby" Whidden and wife Trudy of Clermont, Fla., and Stephen "Steve" Whidden and wife Peggy Ann of LaBelle, Fla.; two brothers, Dunning Terrell and wife Nita of Wauchula, and Steve Terrell and wife Melba of Tampa; six grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, one great- great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at First Baptist Church of Wauchula. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Wauchula Cemetery.
