She came to the US May 1870 and lived in Cokato, Wright Co., Minnesota than to Walworth Co., South Dakota where she married Cornelius Hovland (1866-1956) June 1892. She had four children: Thomas 1893 - 1903, Bertha E. 1894 - 1934, Clifton R. 1896 - 1996, Ragnar 1901 - 1903.
