1900 Tallapoosa Co, AL census. Son of James Saulmon and Mira Elizabeth Saulmon of Burke Co, NC. Married to Cynthia Cornelia Smith dau of Wallace W Smith and Rebecca Reid (also on 1900 Tallapoosa Co, AL census).

The 1900 Census shows James left his wife and sons and was a boarder of Jane Allman, other folks in her household were daughters: Lillie A. and Maude E. Allman

James W. Saulmon lived with his brother Charles M. Saulmon and his family in Ohio Township, Morris County, Kansas, USA

In the 1910 Census James claimed to be widowed.

Miry (Myria, Almira) Elizabeth Saulmon Died 11 June 1914 in Burke County. She is buried in Oak Hill Church Cemetery. Alfred Fox is her Father.

James and Miry's sons were William Washington Saulmon, Malon (Mahlon) Saulmon, Milerd (Millard) Saulmon and Loid (Lloyd) Saulmon.
