Guy K. Bard, the second named of these five children, now United States Federal Judge at Philadelphia, was born 24 Oct 1895, in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and attended Clay Township schools. Graduated from Denver High School, he next attended Millersville State Normal School, then took his Bachelor of Arts degree at Franklin and Marshall College and that of Bachelor of Laws in 1922 at the Law School of the University of Pennsylvania. He taught a rural school in East Earl township, Lancaster County, one year; for two years was principal of the Warwick High School at Lititz; one term was a member of the faculty of Millersvile State Normal School, teaching mathematics and school management
