Albert "A.D." Junot Sr.
A retired pipe fitter and member of Local 198, he died at 8:05 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in the presence of family. He was 79, a resident of Addis and a native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Religious service at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, on Thursday at 10 a.m., concelebrated by the Rev. Cleo Milano and the Rev. Matt Dupré. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Haydel Junot; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Brenda and Normand Hebert, Bonnie Johnson, and Jamie and Kodie Morales; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Steven and Cindy Junot, Stan and Maxine Junot, Donnie and Carol Junot, and Barry Junot; brother, Sidney Junot Jr. and wife Winona; and last, but not least, his beloved 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Hilda Junot; and sister, Alice Bourgoyne and husband Te-tan. He loved fishing and hunting. He served in our nation's armed forces in the U.S. Navy for four years. He loved spending time with his kids till his day of passing. Special thanks to the entire staff at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City for their care.
