Robert J. Bay passed away on September 24, 2008 at the age of 83. "Bob" was born at home in Reno, NV on February 8, 1925 to William O. and Lucille Bay. Bob had a wonderful childhood, fishing and hunting. He was a busy paperboy, delivering the Nevada State Journal, Reno Evening Gazette, Saturday Evening Post, Liberty, Lady's Home Journal and Country Gentlemen. Bob attended South Side Grammar School, Billinghurst Junior High, and graduated from Reno High School in 1943.

He joined the United States Air Force and served as a tail gunner on a B-17, completing 26 missions over Germany. After his discharge, Bob went to work at Osborne and Kitchen Electric. The company changed names several times, and Bob retired from Wedco after 42 years of service. Bob and Susie were married in 1948 and celebrated 60 years together. They both retired in 1988 and traveled in their RV for 11 ½ years. Bob was a proud member of the California Indians and several other gun clubs on the West Coast. Bob was in a five piece band in Reno.

Bob is preceded in death by his father; mother and brother, Bill. He is survived by his wife, Susie; daughter, Janet Bay Barth (Bruce); son, Robert Bay Jr. and grandchildren, Jessica M. Bay and Preston J. Bay.

Many many thanks to all the staff at Life Care Center for their loving care, making Bob's last days so comfortable. Per his wishes, Bob will be cremated, and there will be no service.

He will be missed by his "Bob Squad‘
