She was preceded in death by her parents Alma and Azel Rowe, first husband Bennett M. McNeal, daughter Elizabeth Clarinda (Betsy) McNeal, and her second husband, Harry LeRette. She is survived by her son Rev. Bennett M. McNeal (Andrea Buchik), grandchildren, Heather Schmidt (Walt), Andrew McNeal (Sasha) and Jonathan McNeal and great-grandchildren, Wally, Anna and Aaron Schmidt. A resident of Trotwood for over 65 years, Betty was a retired school teacher, teaching primarily first grade in the Trotwood-Madison school district. She was a member of the Trotwood United Church of Christ where she served as a Deaconess. She was a member of the Trotwood Women's Club for more than six decades and had served as president of the Women's Club in 1996-1997. She attended Cedarville College and was a graduate of the University of Dayton. Betty was especially proud of her daughter Betsy, who was given the opportunity to participate in the Special Olympics. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Another joy was to be in touch with her many friends. She did this faithfully through cards, notes and phone calls.
