Jeffrey Travis Dies in Marion
E. Jeffrey Travis, 83, of Marion, brother of G.W. Travis of Providence and well known in this section, died at 2 p.m. Sunday in Crittenden County Hospital after a long illness. He attended school in Providence taught by Professor Coleman when a young man and later taught in Union and Crittenden county schools. He had also served as county judge and county school superintendent in Crittenden county.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Marion Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. J.R. King of Blackford officiating.
Burial was in Mapleview cemetery, Marion.
