Charles Maurice Tansley was the infant son of John Tansley and Mary Ann Ward Tansley. His birth date and death date are entered in the bible of Mary Ann Tansley, as well as his burial place. Although his death certificate lists his middle name as "Morris", the name as written in his mother's hand in the bible was spelled "Maurice".

TANSLEY -- Suddenly, on the 5th inst., of chelera infanlum, Charles M. Tansley, son of John and Mary A. Tansley, aged 8 months and 11 days.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his parents, No. 4731 Main street, Germantown, this (Friday) afternoon, at 3 o'clock.

Gravesite Details

I have the original deed to this lot, dated September 1, 1860, between John Tansley and St. Stephen's Methodist Episcopal Church of Germantown. The deed says it is situate on the South Westerly Side of Wakefield Street in Germantown.
