Howard H. Helums, 88, of Route 2, Ardmore, AL, died February 10, 1990, at the Ardmore Nursing Home, Ardmore, TN.
Funeral services were held February 12 at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Funeral home Chapel with Paul Clutts officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery with Taylor Funeral Home in charge.
Born December 13, 1901 in Lincoln County, TN, Mr. Helums was the son of the late Jeff and Catherine Shand Helums. He lived most of his life in Madison County, AL, where he was a retired farmer and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Edwards Helums of Ardmore; two sons, Billy Helums of Ardmore and Ray Helums of Taft, TN; two daughters, Selena Owens and Joy Bailey, both of Ardmore; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
