My Great-Great Grandmother, Rachel Florence Smith, was born on August 19th, 1899 in Vendor, Arkansas. She married Otis Holt on September 23rd, 1917 and they spent their lives in Vendor, raising their family. They had four children, three of which lived to adulthood. They were: Linnis Wayne Holt, Evon Holt, Oleta Holt (Haddock), and Joe Kenneth Holt. Rachel died on September 7th, 1971 in Vendor, Arkansas.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Holt and Joe Kenneth Holt of Vendor; two daughters, Evon Flud and Oleta Haddock of Vendor; nine grandchildren and eight great grand-children. Her husband, Otis Holt, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church in Vendor by Rev. Billy Burks with burial in the Smith Cemetery, under direction of Christeson's.
