Mrs. Edna B. Evans died September 11, 1969 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello, where she had been only a few days. She had been in ill health several months. Funeral services were held in Stensel Funeral Home, Mansfield with burial in Ingram Cemetery, White Heath.

Mrs. Evans was born July 11, 1900 at Galesville, the d/o James and Sarah Argo Hannah. She married Clyde Evans December 30, 1922 at Urbana. They farmed in the area until 16 years ago when they moved to Mansfield. She is survived by her husband; sons: Jimmie and Lloyd of Mansfield; and daughter, Sara (Charles) Martin of St Joseph IL; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; two sisters: Mrs. Clara Barnes, Cisco; and Mrs. Myrtle Benson, Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

She was a member of the Senior Woman's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Garden Club, Friendship Circle Class, and the United Methodist Church.
