She was employed at Eisner's Market Square, for 15 years and was service manager when she retired, due to ill health in 1982. She was a member of Brown Street United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star of Wolcott.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Paula J.) Denton, Dekalb, Illinois, and Mrs. David (Julie Ann) Lohrman, Hickory, North Carolina; a brother, Robert Benner, Attica; and two half brothers, Larry Benner, Plymouth, and Lawrence Benner, Gary, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Robert E. Denton III and Donald Christopher Denton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Deardorff.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hippensteel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Wingard officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Monticello. Those so desiring may contribute in memoriam to the Diabetes Foundation or the Heart Fund." – Star Tribune, September 29, 1987
