Myrtle C. McDaniel
A retired South Central Bell employee and a resident and native of Plaquemine, she died peacefully at 4:14 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at her daughter's home. She was 89. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary recited by the Catholic Daughters at 7 p.m. Visiting resumes at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine on Monday from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Matthew Dupre. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. and husband Donnie L. Talbot Sr., of Oberlin; son, Terry and wife Dianna Airhart McDaniel, of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Catty and husband Floyd Hebert; three grandchildren, Luke McDaniel, Jillian Talbot and Donnie L. Talbot Jr.; and special nephew and niece, John D. Clement and Mary Alice Larson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Downey "Mac" McDaniel; son, Jack McDaniel; parents, George D. and Agnes Clement; a sister, Mamie C. Dugas; and two brothers, John D. Clement Sr. and George Clement.
