Henry Reed: Henry was born in Wochester, MA. and lived there until about 1873.He also lived in New Braintown, MA and Newton, MA, He married Marianna Regina Lindsay who preferred to go by Annie in Morehead, NC. They 3 children.
He enlisted in Company A, Massachusetts 25th Infantry on 9-1-1862. He muster out 9-3-1865 with the rank of Captain. He worked as a mechanic. In private life he was a lumberman, doing buying and selling also.
In 1908 he suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed. He died in Mt Airy, NC of pneumonia at the age of 70 years. ~Lynn McGee
