Obituary - Leland Earl England, age 76 of Payson, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2004.
He was born April 22, 1927 in Tooele, Utah, a son of Loami Edgar and Clara Shields England.
He married Sharmane Hanks. They were later divorced. He married Sharon Marie Adams, August 4, 1968 at Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on May 3, 1988.
Leland served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1985. Leland served in many church callings and enjoyed doing temple work. His hobbies included fishing, basketball, football and reading His greatest joy was being with Sharon.
Survivors include: his wife, Sharon, Payson; four sons and two daughters, Lee Allen; Jeri Wydner; Teri Pearce; Kevin; Kelly; Shannon; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Haney, Chula Vista, CA, and Georgia Nelson, of St. George. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 22, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., in the West Mtn. 2nd Ward Chapel, 902 West 400 North, Payson, where friends may call 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial, under the direction of Walker Mortuary in Payson, will be in the Payson City Cemetery with military rites accorded by the American Legion, Dist. #4.
