Mrs. A. H. Hewes INGALLS - Mrs. Bertha Mae Hewes, 80, died early Monday morning at Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 28, 1881, at St. Petersburg. Pa. She moved with her parents to Pratt County when she was 6-months-old.

She was married to A. H. Hewes, Feb. 23, 1907, at Kingman. They homesteaded near Eminence in Finney County and later moved to a farm near Ingalls. They moved into Ingalls in 1919. He died in July of this year.

Member: Ingalls Federated Church.

Survivors: A son, James B., Ingalls; daughters, Mrs. Rachel O'Neal and Mrs. Audrey Strawn, both of Ingalls; Mrs. Hazel Davidson, Dodge City and Mrs. Alene Fisher, Leoti: a brother, Ed Crick, Cimarron; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Revs. J. E. Dougherty and William Wilkoff. Burial: Cimarron Cemetery.
