Mr Wagoner was born at Booneville, North Carolina, November 29, 1869. He came to this county twenty nine years ago and has made his home here since, with the exception of three years in Orgeon, from 1897 to 1900. He was united in marriage to Miss Ruth Newby, in Marietta township, October 25, 1894.
Mr and Mrs Wagoner were the parents of six children, five of whom survive. They are Otha, Helen, Lowell, Mildred and Martin, all of whom are at home with the mother. Mr Wagoner's father, Isaac Wagoner, of Booneville, North Carolina also survives, as do five sisters and two brothers. The latter are Mrs D H Moxley, Mrs Charles Moxley and Mrs Walker of Booneville, Mrs West Blakely of Winston-Salem, South Carolina and Mrs Henry Hudsteth of Conrad; J W Wagoner of Waverly and Julius Wagoner of Liscomb. Mr Wagoner was a member of the Hartland Friends church and of the Marshalltown Club.
Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of Miss Carrie Butler. Burial will be in the Hartland cemetery.

The funeral of John Wagoner, held at the home one-half mile south of Harland at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, was largely attended. The service was conducted by Miss Carrie Butler, assisted by Rev H W Cope. The pallbearers were John Holmquist, L G Pemberton, H E Ware, W H Moninger, E W Hall and A H Whelan. The flowers were in charge of Mesdames Whelan, Ware, Hall and Holmquist. Burial was in the Hartland Cemetery.
